I only feature books I’m especially taken with. You can see that they’re mostly about WWII right now.

I’m a big WWII fan. In my men’s prayer group we have a guy who flew F4U Corsairs back in WWII, and then flew the Banshee in Korea. I’ve made an appointment to interview him. I have a CD from my neighbor. He went in as a young officer at the end of WWII, and got to Germany just in time to see the Nazi’s surrender. He ended up working to track down war criminals, art, you name it. I really should upload it now that I’m thinking of it.

Wow, F4U! What ship? Uncle Don was on the CV-5 (survived Midway) and CV-19 (plank owner on both). His stories are mostly under WWII category. Was your neighbor with the “Monuments Men”? What a fascinating corner of history!

He wasn’t with the monuments men. He was an MP (Like I was). I think he certainly crossed their path. I’ll be asking him about the ships when I interview him.
